By donating 64 multifunctional network printers for the purposes of the Rijeka Clinical Hospital Centre for a total value of HRK 181,750.00 the Rijeka Rotary Club has announced a tribute programme to mark the 25th anniversary.
The donation was presented in the name of the Rijeka Rotary Club by Club President Goran Palčevski and Club Secretary Ante Domić to Assistant Financial Management Director Marko Slemenšek who used the occasion to express his gratitude to the Rotarians for their continuous help. This is the third donation to the CHC Rijeka this year. With a steady contribution to creating better conditions for the hospitalization of children at the Kantrida department, we purchased a chemotherapy chair in February on the occasion of the World Cancer Day. Today’s donation is not focused directly on healthcare, but rather on its needs and the improvement of service quality.
During the period from 19 to 21 April 2018 the Rijeka Rotary Club will be marking 25 years of serving the community, following the vision and 88-year-old tradition of the Sušak Rotary Club through our work.
The programme starts on 19 April at 11.00 am with a scientific and technical meeting about the great Rotarian from Rijeka Viktor Ružić, entitled Life and Work of Dr. Viktor Ružić, in the premises of the Ružić Palace in Rijeka at Strossmayerova ulica 26. A day later, on 20 April at 5.30 pm, a ceremony will take place in the Rijeka City Hall, whereas on Saturday, 21 April, members of other Croatian clubs will join a great afforestation event in Gorski kotar, which will be taking place from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm. The programme was supposed to include a photo exhibition at Korzo in Rijeka, but was postponed until May due to a large number of events.
To be a Rotarian means to be willing to give oneself, one’s time, money and knowledge for the welfare of others and benefit to the world. The Rijeka Rotary Club has during its 25 years of committed work tried to leave a mark in its surroundings. The club has organised numerous charity events for hospitals and schools, offered scholarships to young and talented artists, supported the work of many organisations, established the Dr. Viktor Ružić Trust, as well as offered support through international activity to institutions such as Fortica in Kraljevica and Izvor in Selce. Today’s occasion best describes these ambitions.

Is it the truth?
Is it beneficial to all concerned?
Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
Is it fair to all concerned?
